Bighorn Ridge is a 2006, Multi-Gold winner of the Thompson/Okanagan Tommie & Provincial Georgie Awards for Home Building Excellence.

Our adobe-styled, custom designed guest house features 2 sumptuous suites with private entrances.

Most recently highlighted on the cover of Wine Trails 2008, Big Horn Ridge has also been featured in May/June 2007 Dream House Magazine, Kelowna & Seattle Times Newspapers, 2008 Stars Lottery, and a television documentary on Okanagan Now.

A covered veranda & private patio provide the perfect setting to enjoy the natural habitat on our 10 acres of north Sonora desert. With 7 award-wining wineries within walking distance, you are truly in the midst of Okanagan Wine Country. Penticton & Oliver are 15 minutes drive north and south respectively, with Okanagan Falls a mere 5 minutes drive for amenities & Skaha Lake for fishing, boating, beaches & swimming.

Vaseux Lake and its bird sanctuary is a lovely walk with ample opportunity to bike and hike. Vineyards, orchards and golf courses abound, plus 2 noted ski resorts complement our South Okanagan ambiance.

We are open year round, with easy access to all forms of 4-season recreation. The Okanagan boasts numerous golf courses, beaches, ski resorts, lakes and strong cultural and heritage environment.

Our adult oriented guest house suites have been artisan designed with air conditioning and rustic hand trowelled plaster and stucco. Each accommodates up to 2 adults with a queen size bed.

The 3-piece ensuite bathroom boasts a copper sink, and extensive use of wood and imported tile

The relaxing sitting area with fireplace provides scenic views of a palette of colours from our high desert retreat.

Your vacation get-away overlooks vistas of panoramic mountains, hills, Vaseux Lake, and working vineyards; the view that is the most photographed in desert wine country. Antelope bush, sage, pine trees, and cactus abound! There are over 40 wineries within a 30 minute drive; 5 within walking distance.

For your use, the guest house kitchen offers your private fridge, plus common cooktop range, microwave and dishwasher with a barbeque on the veranda for your dining pleasure.

A destination holiday, Bighorn Ridge is pet friendly with prior approval. The views from your covered veranda, looking south, are pictured in 'Canada's Best Drives' -- summer 2004; right on the Okanagan Wine Route.

To make at you leisure, your private fridge will be brimming with fresh fruit and juice, breads/pastries, preserves, milk, yogurt, eggs and a 'breakfast' meat. In addition, the guest house kitchen is supplied with coffee and teas, condiments and cereals. As much as possible we strive to provide you with locally grown fare.
